Under the title EX VOTO - I Believe in Miracles, the Saarland artist Vera Loos will be a guest at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural site from September 1, 2023 with her site-specific works for an annual cycle.

On behalf of the State Chancellery of the Saarland, the State Academy for Music and Cultural Education again organized this year's state competition Perform your homeland. The competition is aimed at children and young people who explore a cultural site in their district through music and dance. The resulting performances are captured in extraordinary films that also highlight Saarland's cultural sites.
In cooperation with the Regional Association of Saarbrücken and the Robert Schumann Gymnasium in Saarlouis, a film was made at the Cultural site Wintringer Chapel with the title: "Along the Milky Way" in Gothic and Contemporary. This contribution has received the first prize!

Sleeping customs officers exhibition
On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the partnership between Grosbliederstroff and Kleinblittersdorf, photographs of the photo installation "Sleeping Customs Officers" by Mane Hellenthal and Ulrich Behr are on display in the gallery of the Historic City Hall Kleinblittersdorf.
The exhibition can be viewed July 12 to October 12, 2023 in the Historic Town Hall, Rathausstraße 16-18, 66271 Kleinblittersdorf.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (last Friday of the month until 12:00 pm).

Works by artists Rudolf Schwarz and Bernd Janes promote the poetry and preservation of an old cultural landscape in the Historic City Hall Kleinblittersdorf
The historic city hall of Kleinblittersdorf has been the venue for art exhibitions for a long time and is therefore part of the network of places of art and culture in the Regional Association of Saarbrücken. On the initiative of the Regional Association of Saarbrücken and the municipality of Kleinblittersdorf, it is hoped that in the future the themes of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau will also be addressed locally through the language of art. The artist Vera Loos will curate the art exhibitions.
For the opening, the artists Rudolf Schwarz and Bernd Janes could be won to show works that are readable as subtle messages of the specific cultural landscape of the Bliesgau.
Architect, building ecologist and artist Bernd Janes highlights the unmistakable earth color of this landscape with 7 panels and 7 rammed earth bodies, which he created from the loamy shell limestone soil of the Bliesgau biosphere. It is based on subtle differences of the loamy shell limestone. Lyrical texts written by the Saarland poet Johannes Kühn especially for these works of art open up dialogues that allow deeper sensual access to the very own identity of the Bliesgau landscape.

For the exhibition opening, on March 1, 2023, at 18:00, Mayor of Kleinblittersdorf Rainer Lang, Regional Association Director Peter Gillo and the Association Chairman of the Biosphärenzweckverband Bliesgau, District Administrator Dr. Theophil Gallo, welcomed the visitors!
Curator Vera Loos and cultural officer Peter Michael Lupp introduced the artists and their works. Saxophonist Hartmut Oßwald performed musical reflections on the theme.

European Academy Otzenhausen
In March, the European Academy Otzenhausen hosted a Franco-German group of students at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural site to Starry learn about organic farming and cultural work, art projects and the European model project Path/
During an exciting exchange, the focus was on the responsibility of each individual for the future of the earth, which can be inspired by artistic vision and being on the road in Europe. The topic of peace took a special place here.
