Meditative pilgrimage in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau

The meditative pilgrimage hikes on a section of the European Way of St. James pilgrims in the Bliesgau biosphere reserve are integrated into the special atmosphere of the four seasons and see themselves as explorations of sustainability. The mission of a UNESCO biosphere reserve and questions about the sources of inner strength and the good life become thematic companions along the way in a poetic way. The route starts at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural Site on the Wintringer farm.

After an introduction, the route follows the "Starry Path/Chemin des étoiles", past the "Sternenfeld" and a sunken garden to the stage destination of the "Altes Bauernhaus" pilgrims' hostel in Auersmacher. There you can enjoy coffee and homemade cake and, after a pause in the village church, the approx. 15-kilometre hike leads back to the medieval Wintringer Chapel.

Please note: The pilgrimage hike is moderately difficult and requires a good physical condition!

Please bring backpack food according to your own needs and, if necessary, rainwear and good shoes.
