Meditative pilgrimage in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau

The meditative pilgrimages on a section of the European paths of the pilgrims of St. James in the Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau are integrated into the special mood of the four seasons and understand themselves as explorations of sustainability. The mission of a UNESCO biosphere reserve and the questions about the sources of inner strength and the good life become on the way in a poetic way to the thematic companion. Start is the cultural site Wintringer Chapel on the Wintringer farm.

After an introduction, we will go on the "Stars Trail/Chemin des étoiles"past the "Starfield" and a sunken garden to the stage destination of the Pilgrim hostel "Altes Bauernhaus" in Auersmacher. There, coffee and homemade cake are served and after a pause in the village church, the approx. 15-kilometer hike with inclines leads back to the medieval Wintringer Chapel.

Please note: The pilgrimage hike is moderately difficult and requires a good physical condition!

Please bring backpack food according to your own needs and, if necessary, rainwear and good shoes.
