Art projects
The cultural site Wintringer Chapel stands for a mission statement to use the special features of the medieval building, its poetic power and its changeful history for the development of a cultural place of the present in the region of Saarbrücken in the biosphere reserve Bliesgau.
On an annual basis - per annum - an art project is realized at the Cultural site Wintringer Chapel on the basis of this mission statement. The content of the annual projects is based on the basic idea set out in the Book of Hours documentation. According to this, the place can be understood as a collection of quotations. They are encoded in the past and can be interpreted in relation to the present through an independent artistic approach. Against this backdrop, per annum is about mindful and serious artistic work with the site, also in the context of the specific cultural landscape in which it is embedded today.
